Foss Quay Cottage is a charming, ground floor, self contained apartment in a 300 year old maritime cottage.
Situated close to the peaceful village of Millbrook in South East Cornwall, Foss Quay Cottage is the ideal getaway for couples wanting to relax and take in all that this charming part of Cornwall has to offer.
Foss Quay Cottage sleeps 2 in one double bedroom although, with previous permission from the owner, a sofa bed in the lounge can accommodate two others. Ideally, Foss Quay Cottage is for couples, or a small family with children over 12, although a cot can be provided for younger visitors.
Enter Foss Quay Cottage through the kitchen diner area. The kitchen is well equipped and is perfect for making hearty breakfasts before heading out to explore Millbrook and the surrounding area.
Foss Quay Cottage's lounge, with patio doors leading to the conservatory, is comfortable and ideal for spending a cosy evening in having visited the many sites that this area has to offer.
Relax in the double bedroom, with charming pine furniture, and enjoy breakfast in bed!
The conservatory, with beautiful riverside views, makes the ideal place to relax at the end of the day with a glass of wine watching the sun go down.
Furry family members are welcome at Foss Quay Cottage. One dog is accepted for an additional charge of £10.
Foss Quay Cottage is perfectly situated to use a base to explore the surrounding area. Take a walk along the South West Coastal Path from Millbrook, taking in the valley of Lower Tamar, the mouth of Plymouth Sound and the sweep of Whitsand Bay.
Make the short journey to Torpoint and take the small ferry across to Devonport and visit two counties in one day! Plymouth is just a short hop from Devonport and makes for a charming day out.
Closer to Foss Quay Cottage is Antony House, a stunning 18th century mansion with formal landscaped gardens, topiary and The Woodland Garden with outstanding rhododendrons, azaleas, magnolias and camellias.
Visit one of the many beaches in the local area. Whitsand Bay has dramatic scenery and long sandy beaches, whilst the twin villages of Kingsand and Cawsand beaches are within two miles of Foss Quay Cottage.
An hours journey away from Foss Quay Cottage is the Eden project. Spend the day exploring the famous biospheres and taking in the wealth of fauna within.
For golfers, this part of Cornwall has plenty to offer. Whitsand Bay Golf Course is just 15 minutes from Foss Quay Cottage. With it's dramatic views and rolling fairways, it is a perfect club for both serious and holiday golfers alike. 30 minutes away is St Mellion Golf Course with its Jack Nicklaus signature course. In a glorious woodland setting the club is ideal for the serious golfer.
With so much to offer, a week may not be long enough to visit all that this lovely part of Cornwall has to offer. However you choose to spend your time whilst visiting, Foss Quay Cottage is the perfect base to use. |

Torpoint is a town on the Rame Peninsula in Cornwall, England. It is located across the estuary of the River Tamar from Plymouth and is known for the crossing point via chain drawn ferries between Torpoint and Plymouth. It is not far from Kingsand, Milbrook and Saltash and is one of over 250 towns and villages in Cornwall in which Go2 has cottages or holidays lets available. The closest cities are Plymouth (population 243,795), Truro (population 20,920), and Exeter (which has a population of 106,772 according to the 2001 Census).
